Important Instructions for admission in M.Tech Program 

1.    Admission is open to the Indian Nationals who have passed/appearing in the qualifying examination, fulfilling the eligibility requirements.
2.    The candidate must himself/herself ensure his/her eligibility to appear in the respective entrance test of a particular Program.
3.    The candidates in respect of whom the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of document verification due to any reason whatsoever, shall not be eligible for admission under any circumstances.
4.    The candidates who are not domicile of U.P. will be eligible to take admission against general (open) category only.
5.    The reservation policy as prescribed by the U.P. State Government shall be applicable for admissions of UP domicile candidates only.
6.    Only vertical reservation is applicable for M.Tech students.
7.    Candidates having valid GATE score can apply for direct admission in all M.Tech programs for academic session 2025‐26. All GATE qualified candidates shall receive monthly stipend as per the norms of AICTE.
8.    Admissions in M.Tech. programmes will be completed in following 3 phases in order of preference. 

a)    In the first phase valid GATE score card holders will be invited and given first priority.
b)    In the second phase, applicants with CUET(PG)- 2025 will be considered. The order of preference in sequence will be i) Engineering degree with CUET (PG) ii) MCA degree with CUET(PG) iii) M.Sc. degree with CUET(PG) wherever applicable. 
c)    In the third phase, candidates will be admitted on the merit basis of university admission test (Malaviya Entrance Test-2025) tentatively scheduled to be held in offline mode at MMMUT Gorakhpur.  
9.    Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech- Computer Science & Engineering and M.Tech Information technology have to fill single form. 
10.    Candidates are required to pay a registration / counselling fee of Rs. 2,500/- (Non-Refundable). 
11.    The allotment of seats will be done based on given choices filled by the student purely on merit basis.

Important Instructions for admission in M. Sc Program 

1.    Admission is open to the Indian Nationals who have passed/appearing in the qualifying examination, fulfilling the eligibility requirements.
2.    The candidate must himself/herself ensure his/her eligibility to appear in the respective entrance test of a particular Program.
3.    The candidates in respect of whom the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of document verification due to any reason whatsoever, shall not be eligible for admission under any circumstances.
4.    The candidates who are not domicile of U.P. will be eligible to take admission against general (open) category only.
5.    The reservation policy as prescribed by the U.P. State Government shall be applicable for admissions of UP domicile candidates only.
6.    Both vertical and horizontal reservations are applicable for admission in M.Sc program.
7.    Admissions in M.Sc programmes will be completed in following two phases in order of preference. 

i.    In the first phase applicants with CUET(PG)-2025 will be considered.
ii.    University will conduct a Malaviya Entrance Test-2025 for admission in all M.Sc programmes. Merit list will be prepared based on the score card in the Entrance Examination and the preference will be given in sequence to CUET(PG)-2025 then Malaviya Entrance Test-2025

  • [1] Admission is open to the Indian nationals who have passed/appearing in the qualifying examination, fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
  • [2] The candidate should fill up the online application form any place through Internet by login on to https://mmmutadm.samarth.edu.in/ or https://mmmutadm.samarth.edu.in/2025/ from 3 June 2025 (11.00 AM) as per the detailed procedure given on the website.
  • [3] Mode of Admission: 
  • A. Full time Research Scholar with University Fellowship: A research scholar in this category works full-time for his/her Ph.D. He/she will be eligible to receive assistantship/scholarship from the University.

    B. AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) for PhD students: Admitted in the upcoming MET-PhD-2025 Entrance Exam. Detailed information is provided through given Link: https://www.aicte-india.org/schemes/students-development-schemes/ADF-Scheme

    C. Self-financed: Self-financed research scholars will support themselves. University will not provide scholarship to such candidates.

    D. Sponsored: A research scholar in this category is sponsored by a recognized R&D organization, Academic Institution, Government Organization, or Industry for doing Ph.D. in the University on a full-time basis. The University shall not provide any assistantship/ scholarship

    Admission to PhD Programme 2025-2026 under Visvesvaraya PhD scheme for Electronics and IT: Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to PhD programme on Visvesvaraya PhD scheme for academic session 2025-26 in the Electronics and MMMUT, GORAKHPUR (UP) 2025-26 Communication Engineering Department (One Seat under C2S (CTwoS)) and Computer Science and Engineering Department (One Seat), Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur under ‘Visvesvaraya PhD scheme for Electronic and IT: Phase II’ supported by MeitY, Govt. of India.

  • [4] The candidate must himself/herself ensure his/her eligibility to appear in the respective entrance test of a particular program.
  • [5] Commencement and last date for applying through the online portal for MET-PhD-2025: The Date is from 3 June 2025 (11.00 AM) as per the detailed procedure given on the website.
  • [6] The candidates who are not domiciled in U.P. will be eligible to take admission against the general (open) category only.
  • [7] The reservation policy as prescribed by the U.P. State Government shall be applicable for admissions of UP domicile candidates only.
  • [8] Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 2500/- for General EWS & OBC candidates and Rs. 1250/- for SC/ST/Female candidates. (Non-Refundable)
  • [9] For detailed information, the Admission Information Brochure for PhD-First Year 2025-26, July Session, Odd Semester, shall be referred.
  • [10] The above dates are tentative, and candidates are advised to regularly visit the university website/University Samarth Portal for any updates. No separate letters through speed post / registered post shall be sent to candidates.
  • [11] Candidate must submit a copy of the original final marksheet duly signed on or before the time of the PhD written examination, failing which the candidate shall not be permitted to appear in the PhD written examination.
  • [12] The certificate for OBC/EWS candidates will be valid only when it is issued on or after 01.04.2025 (mandatory due to conditions of creamy layer for OBC and conditions of EWS). The Certificate must be issued by a competent authority of the UP government.
